"Carlos was very knowledgeable and honest about what I will be paying for. I've been wanting to get tinted windows to reduce the heat coming into my car. Carlos answered all of my questions thoroughly. The work he did is impeccable. I love driving my car and the coating he recommended to reduce UV rays is definitely worth it."

"S Brooks: Window Tints has been the best in the business for well over twenty years. I have purchased multiple cars during that timeframe and have not used anyone else but them for window tinting. Randy and staff are always very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend."

"Your customer service was really good, but was told immediately that I need the $500 package on a new car to get it clean. I chose not to and did the $189 package. He called and told me he washed it, but couldn’t polish it because of all the contamination. So, I paid $189 for a car wash. Plus, they charge me $55 to remove two badges. What a waste of money. I could have taken it to a normal car wash and got as good a cleaning for $80. What a rip off!!!"

Window Tinting Laws in California

Front Windshield:Non-reflective tint above AS-1 line
Front Side Windows:Must allow 70% of light to pass through
Back Side Windows:Must allow 35% of light to pass through
Rear Window:Must allow 35% of light to pass through
California's strict car window tinting laws require front side windows to have at least 70% VLT (Visible Light Transmission), keeping them relatively clear. Back side and rear windows can have any darkness level. Windshield tint is limited to the top 4 inches. California prohibits red, amber, and blue tinting, and reflectivity cannot exceed standard window levels. Dual side mirrors are required with tinted back windows. Professional window tinting services ensure compliance while providing heat rejection for California's sunny climate.

How much does car window tinting cost?

California car window tinting prices range from $200-$500 for full-vehicle service, reflecting the state's strict compliance requirements. Standard window tint cost for cars typically runs $200-$300, while premium ceramic or IR films cost $350-$500. Front side windows, which must meet the state's 70% VLT requirement, average $60-$90 per window.
